Introduction

Hello and good morning everyone. So nice to be here with you all this morning. My name is Kevin Neal, I am the Student Minister here at RCC. I get the wonderful honor and privilege to work with the middle school-high school aged students here at the church. Honestly, I am beyond spoiled. We have a great bunch of kids that are awesome and absolutely on fire for the Lord.
Today, I get to tackle the second week in our Sermon Series “Generation to Generation” where we have been looking at how God is faithful throughout every stage of life.
Connecting Series and Message to the Bible:
Scripture often characterises youth as a time of vigour and a time of strength. It speaks to the pressures and expectations of youth, the Bible warns about the temptations facing young people, and instructs young people about what is expected of them.
Big Idea: Teens add to church as the church adds to teens.
To Young People
Ecclesiastes 12:1 NLT
1 Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.”
1 Timothy 4:12 ESV
12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
To Parents / Grandparents / Guardians
Charles Haddon Spurgeon, speaking of children and parental discipline, said, “If we never have headaches through rebuking them, we shall have plenty of heartaches when they grow up.”1
To the Church of Christ
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
